Three Ponds Protective Association

Preserving Milton Three Ponds for Future Generations

Our approach to maintaining and improving water quality in Milton Three Ponds is multi-faceted. It includes supporting boat inspections, water quality testing, removal of invasive species, educational programs, and serving as a resource to lake residents, community organizations and Town Boards. TPPA is created and sustained by volunteers who serve on the Board of Directors and work to preserve the health of The Ponds for all to enjoy.

TPPA Activities

  • In partnership with the University of New Hampshire, monitoring water quality is critical to understanding the health of the Ponds, and TPPA conducts tests that determine if the water quality is improving, regressing or remains the same.

    Get Involved

  • Over the years, the Ponds have become built up with many lakeside properties and receive many visitors from in- and out-of-state via public and private boat ramps and beaches.  In 2015, an invasive plant species called European Naiad (EN) was discovered in the Ponds. Without aggressive management, this plant would disrupt the native species of The Ponds, diminish recreation and decrease property values. Read more about our eradication and prevention efforts.

  • During the month of July, volunteer “Weed Watchers” are important to help identify invasive species by surveying and reporting on assigned areas of Milton Three Ponds.  If you are interested in contributing to this effort, please use the Contact Us form.

  • TPPA is working to help our community learn all they can about how to protect these Ponds that we love. We encourage you to take a minute to read about the important actions we all need to take to keep the Ponds beautiful and enjoyable for generations to come.
